Event description

Join us for the August Kāpiti Tech Cluster Meetup!

Come along for an evening of updates, conversation, and connection with others working in tech across the district.

This month, we’ll hear from two guest speakers, share recent wins from the community, and make space for catching up and meeting others in the Kāpiti Tech Cluster.

We’ll be joined by:

Andrew Tokeley (Tokes), Product Leadership Coach

Tokes is one of New Zealand's most experienced product advisors, and works closely with founders and tech teams to sharpen their product thinking. He’ll talk about what product leadership looks like in a startup, when you need a product person (and when you don’t), and what that means for founders, tech leads, and operational teams trying to balance product alongside everything else.

Chloe Narain, Head of Marketing at Creative HQ

Chloe leads marketing for Creative HQ, a startup accelerator and innovation hub based in Wellington. She’ll give an overview of the Startup World Cup, which is coming to Kāpiti this October, and how local founders and supporters can get involved.

Also on the agenda:

  • Updates and recent wins from across the Tech Cluster

  • An overview of the Summer of Tech internship programme

  • Networking with founders, tech professionals, and supporters

Snacks and light refreshments will be available. Alcohol can be purchased at the venue.
