Karen's Permablitz Round 2: Water Management & Habitat Creation - Holgate

Join us for our second permablitz at Karen's beautiful Holgate property!

Following our successful first transformation in June, we're returning to Karen's acreage to focus on water management systems and habitat creation. This blitz will build on our previous work, further improving the property's sustainability and biodiversity.

What We'll Accomplish Together:

• Water Harvesting System: Install three large collection tubs to capture rainwater during heavy downpours, creating a sustainable irrigation system that redirects water back into the garden
• Wildlife Habitat Creation: Develop dedicated spaces for water plants, insects, frogs, and birds to flourish, increasing biodiversity throughout the property
• Invasive Weed Management: Continue our management of unwanted plants using cardboard and mulch to naturally suppress their growth
• Edible Water Garden: Establish an exciting new area with water chestnuts and other edible water plants
