Event description

Kasumi Hourai Weekend Workshop

10:30am - 5:30pm, Sat & Sun, with a 1 hour lunch break.

Requirements: Students must have a good understanding of the risks and dangers involved in rope bondage, be partnered, and must also have their own equipment including rope, and a rope cutting implement. Students must both (rope-giver and rope-receiver) be competent with rope communication, basic chest harnesses and have some partial suspension experience.

This class is not suitable for beginners.

For this workshop, Kasumi recommends bringing 10 - 15 standard length hanks of rope, and a short rope (a 3m rope or a 1m rope is very useful).

Models, please wear sporty clothes that are easy to tie up, and if available, long underwear, or something similar in shape. For students in Australia, you can use a thin bathrobe or a long dress! Kasumi often dresses her workshop models in long underwear for lessons, so if you have any, please bring them along.

Also, on the last day of the workshop, models will need to bring their favourite outfit. This can be Japanese style, Western style, or underwear, but please make sure to bring your favourite outfit. This will be used only for the last lesson on the last day. (Everyone will be tied up and photographed [if consented to] at the same time).

Kasumi will aim to cover as much of this content as possible in two days, and will consider which ones to do in which order, based on the students' progress. The overall theme will be the fusion of Japanese culture and bondage.

  • Various hip harnesses
  • Various hanging rope fastening methods
  • Hangings that make the back hands and hips look nice (full moon bindings)
