Phil was a founding member of the grassroots community group 'Voices for Indi' in 2012. Everyday people from different walks of life came together around a shared and passionate desire to see the standard of political representation raised above and beyond the diminished party system offerings. He was campaign director for the past four successful federal election campaigns in Indi in northeast Victoria for the community independents, Cathy McGowan (2013 and 2016) and Helen Haines (2019 and 2022). Phil was the driving force and multiple chapter author of the recent book, 'The Indi Way.' He is a committed regional and rural community activist and along with many others from across Indi, a proud champion of what has become a major political and social movement in Australia. |
