Katie's 40th Birthday & Song Soiree

Join us for a fun and uplifting experience of singing together to celebrate the season AND Katie's 40th birthday!

Katie will teach simple, easy to learn songs call and echo. Most will be her original songs that have been sung in her fall season of Our Community Folk Choir (more info here: https://ourcommunityfolkchoir.canva.link/)

We sing to celebrate being together, to feel our feelings in a safe container, and to remind us of simple truths that uplift and support us.

More about Katie:

Katie Sontag (she/they) writes and teaches nourishing songs that heal and support us. Her welcoming, trusting presence provides her circles with a safe space to grieve, celebrate, feel and be authentically together. She is a true believer in the profound healing powers of music in community. Her prolific songwriting reminds us of simple yet profound truths. Through rounds, part songs, harmonies and unison, we will revive our belonging and leave with a sense of true self worth. At Katie’s song circles, you will laugh, cry, make new friends, and feel better than when you came. Her music has been described as "a big hug." Katie is asking for donations $15 - 35 to support her work as a musical artist (currently self-producing her next album, Held) and song leader. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

There will be no childcare at this event. Children are still welcome. A kids zone might be provided if there is enough interest and support. If you are willing to head this up as a work trade please contact Katie directly.
