Katy Steele

If there’s one thing that you remember about Katy Steele it’s that voice. Undeniable, ethereal, dramatic and melodic. She’s a one and only. A creative chameleon. A singer-songwriter. An artist with almost two decades in the Australian music industry who continues to impress.

Hailing from Perth, WA, from a family of musicians including her father blues legend Rick Steele and brother Luke Steele (The Sleepy Jackson/Empire of the Sun), she has shaped her own brand of music with influences from The Pretenders to Blondie and Fleetwood Mac all the while sprinkled with her love of melodic pop.

With a talent for solid songwriting, she’s now forging ahead with an incredible new album on the horizon. Quintessential Steele... upbeat, energetic, pop nostalgia.

Katy is no stranger to hard work. At 19, and as the lead singer of one of Australia’s biggest bands Little Birdy, she travelled the world building her music career and releasing three studio albums with the band (BigBigLove, Hollywood, Confetti).

The success of which came with a myriad of ARIA nominations as Little Birdy continued to make its mark on the music scene.

A band hiatus saw her move to New York to work on songwriting and production allowing her to develop and explore her own sound while navigating a personal and emotional evolution. Out of that experience came her first solo album Human.

Now based back in Perth and having come somewhat full circle, she is carving out the next chapter of her incredible career.

“This new album I’ve been working on comes from a place that I’ve explored musically over and over in my mind. It’s a time for me as an artist to embrace a new chapter. Music is my outlet. I just sit at the piano and let it all fall out. It’s natural for me, even through hard times. That’s why I do it, because I’m meant to do it.” - Katy Steele

KIM CHURCHILL

Australian ‘Fighter Tour’ 2022. With a new album release on the horizon, Kim Churchill sets out on his biggest camper van tour yet! To celebrate the release of his latest single, Fighter, Kim is capitalising on the beautiful natural environments he’s been discovering over the last several years to bring people a stunning evening blend of nature and music.

Favouring large outdoor spaces that welcome all and are respectful of people's desire for a bit of space in a freaked and crowded world, the ‘Fighter Tour’ will be hitting outdoor amphitheaters, riverside paddocks, beachside blocks, wineries and civic gardens.

Each line up is a handpicked selection of artists and dear friends of Kim with some beautiful collaborations on the cards and an array of incredible art

ALIVAN BLU

Alivan Blu are kicking 2022 off with a bang. Hitting the road in celebration of their much anticipated debut EP "Someone I Call Home" After a series of popular single releases, including 'Changes' and 'Let Me Go', and a strong string of supports with some of Australia's biggest Indie Folk acts, the duo capped off a massive 2021 with their very first Australian Headline Tour. The pair have earned listeners across Australia with their natural harmonies, energetic performances and ability to share their stories through musing lyricism.

Alivan have something a little bigger planned for 2022. "We've spent the last couple of years releasing singles and this time we wanted to do something a little different and release something a bit deeper for our listeners"

"Someone I Call Home" is a collection of songs capturing the highs & lows of relationships, life during the pandemic, and upbringing & background of the two of us.

HELEN SHANAHAN

Helen Shanahan is a folk singer/songwriter from Perth, Western Australia.
Helen’s songs ride the joys and sorrows of love and life and draw the listener into an articulate and heartfelt world of story, melody and guitar, through her eyes. Helen’s thoughtful observations and introverted reflections of everyday situations are beautifully captured in her music, which can best be described as contemporary folk/pop with a strong acoustic feel. Helen graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) majoring in voice.

In 2013 she won the songwriting award in the national competition ‘Telstra Road to Discovery’. This competition saw Helen play at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne, the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Canadian Music Week, BIGSOUND festival in Brisbane, Queenscliff music festival, iconic New York bar ‘The Bitter End’, and the Americana festival in Nashville.

In 2014 she joined Clare Bowditch on stage for a duet as part of her ‘Winter Secrets’ Tour. In the same year she was nominated for ‘Best Folk Act’ in the West Australian Music Industry Awards. Helen has provided strong support to Passenger, Matt Corby, The Basement Birds, The Paper Kites, Lewis Watson, Ian Moss, Angie McMahon and Jeff Martin.

In 2018 Helen won the Western Australian Music Industry ‘Song of the Year’ award for her song ‘I Only Hide’. In 2019 Helen moved to the UK where she released the single ‘Unborn’ - focusing on the sensitive issue of climate change and the effect on future generations. The COVID 19 pandemic saw Helen return to Perth in 2020, and used the time spent in isolation to record 3 songs with Jon Clements at ø2 Studio in Wembley – released through MGM distribution. 2021 has seen Helen learn the ropes of motherhood with her new daughter Bonnie, while singing backing vocals for international artist Tim Minchin and supporting Missy Higgins at the Fremantle Prison.
