Kayak and Coffee | Riverfest 2026

Make a tangible difference for our local waterways this Riverfest!

Join us for a unique nature experience where you will paddle the Duck River an industrialized urban waterway and help restore the environment by collecting litter.

What to expect

• Start your morning at Silverwater Park with a complimentary coffee and registration.

• Head to Silverwater Wharf for safety briefing, life-jacket fitting, and a quick paddling lesson.

• Launch your kayaks and paddle out to Duck River to collect rubbish and learn about conservation in urban environments

• Return to Silverwater Park to celebrate your hard work with a well-deserved lunch.

What we provide

• All kayak equipment, paddles and life-jacket (various sizes). No kayaking experience is required.

• Buckets/bags, gloves and pickers for safely collecting rubbish

• Morning tea before kayaking and lunch after

What to bring and wear

• Long sleeve shirt (rash shirt preferably) and long pants

• Shoes: water shoes if you have them or sneakers you don't mind getting wet.

• Sun protection: hat, sunglasses and sunscreen

Registration is essential, spots are limited. If you can no longer attend this event please cancel your ticket as this is a catered event.

Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
