Keep the Fires Burning
Event description
Murnong welcomes mob, allies and accomplices to sleepout in our Wominjeka Garden, celebrating NAIDOC 2025. This is about sharing stories and building connections, as well as raising funds for programs in our community.
You can support Uncle Glenn and Murnong in either of 2 ways:
Sleep out for the night and get friends, family and workmates to contribute to your minimum commitment of $150. When you click the Sleepers and Supporters button, you will be able to register with "Sleeping out" ticket. Make an initial contribution of $20, or you can pay any larger amount you like. Once you register we will send you an information pack to help you recruit supporters and manage their contributions.
Contribute to support Uncle Glenn sleeping out over night. His hips are not so young, so let's help make his effort worthwhile! If you are unable to sleep out and don't know an individual to support, click the Sleepers and Supporters button. Select the "Supporter" ticket. You will be able to register and make a contribution of $10 or more.
For those sleeping out:
We'll come together from 7pm, share a BBQ meal, and settle by the fire. Bring your own outdoor sleeping equipment - ground mat, sleeping bag, swag, whatever you need but no tents as space is at a premium. It will be cold so come well prepared.
In the case of rain we have indoor space available. Toilet and kitchen facilities available onsite, but no showers available.
All money raised goes to support the work of Murnong First Peoples Gathering Place.
