Kemptown Bookshop's 50th anniversary party

This year Kemptown Bookshop celebrates fifty years in business in the heart of Kemptown Village. We want to thank the local community for their support over half a century of bookselling. Without you, we wouldn't exist.

Please join us at St George's Church in Kemptown on Thursday 17th September from 7pm to celebrate.

It'll be a chance to chat to other bookshop customers and hear from people who've played a key role in the bookshop's history. We'll also be launching our anthology about bookshops. Last year we launched a writing competition on the theme of bookshops to celebrate this milestone, and the winners will be published in an anthology which will also feature work from the likes of Peter James, Elly Griffiths, Roy Mcfarlane, Erin James and Aflo. You'll hear from some of our winners including two students from Brighton College and Longhill School.

The event is free but please do RSVP so we know numbers. There will be a bar at the event selling alcoholic and soft drinks. Thank you so much for your support over the past 50 years and we look forward to celebrating with you.

Accessibility: There is level access into the building and an accessible toilet. If you have any specific accessibility needs, please ask. We want this event to be open to everyone.
