    Event description

    What is Ecstatic Dance?

Ecstatic Dance is a form of dance where participants move freely to music in a meditative and expressive manner, often leading to a state of ecstasy. It’s a freeform dance movement that encourages self-expression and connection with others without the need to follow specific steps. The environment is designed to be non-judgmental and inclusive, often with guidelines such as no talking on the floor, no alcohol or drugs, and no phones or cameras to maintain the integrity of the experience.

Ecstatic Dance is all about dancing like no one is watching you; dancing without the judgment of others and dancing without limits. Even though Ecstatic Dance has gotten more and more popular over the past years, it is by no means a contemporary activity. This form of dance was practiced throughout human history and is known as a meditative activity that helps us cope with stress.

Ecstatic dance is a free form of dance with the goal to achieve ecstasy. This is a natural state in which your awareness shifts and you get to experience a meditative and happy state of mind through body movement. Besides the fact that it is a lot of fun to move your body to music, Ecstatic Dance is also scientifically proven to help your mental & physical health.
