Held over two sessions

This is an Intermediate Key Word Sign Workshop (using Key Word Sign in Daily Life) for people who have previously attended a Basic Workshop and are looking to increase their skills.

In this Intermediate Key word Sign Workshop, you will build your knowledge of key word sign and gesture in familiar, everyday activities, routines, games and songs. You will learn about how to create a sign environment using strategies and resources to encourage and support the use of sign.

The focus of this course is building your skills in signing accuracy and fluency through individual, small group, and whole group activities. You will revise the signs of the Interactive Vocabulary learned in
"Getting Started with Key Word Sign" and learn between 80 -100 news signs.

 Suitable for 

Anyone who has previously completed the Basic Key Word Sign Workshop and is actively using Key Word Sign.

• Parents/Carers, Family & Community Members
• Childcare & Disablity Staff
• Teachers, Educators & Support Workers
• Allied Health Professionals
• Anyone in the community.

Each participant must have access to their own screen (computer, laptop, iPad or tablet) for the workshop.  You cannot share a screen.  A smartphone cannot be used as the screen is too small. 

• You will receive the zoom link in the days prior to the workshop.

• You will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

• Note: Victorian Teachers can use these hours towards their VIT PD hours. 

When:  Friday, March 28 & April 4 2025

Where:  On zoom

Time:   9:30 am - 1 pm  Melbourne time both sessions. 

            Online available from 9:15 am 
            You need to attend both sessions.

Cost: $350 + GST per person
