Southern Cancer Society and He Waka Tapu present: 

Kia Ora E Te Iwi - Southern Cancer Society Training. 


Enhance Understanding:
Provide staff with a comprehensive
understanding of all cancers and its impact on Māori and Pacifica
communities.

Cultural Competence:
Foster skills in culturally competent
communication and support tailored to Māori and Pacifica
whānau.

Practical Skills: Equip staff with practical tools and strategies for
supporting whanau through cancer diagnosis, treatment, and
recovery.

Emotional and Spiritual Support: Address the emotional and
spiritual aspects of coping with cancer from a cultural
perspective.
