Event description

Kia Ukaipō Māori Women's Welfare League branch members are all about our wahine, tamariki and whānau.

With this event, we are focusing on wahine wellness where we will be highlighting breast cancer and the importance of breast screening and early detection among wahine Māori as well as focusing on menopause and the changes in ourselves as we move through stages of our wahinetanga.

Kia Ukaipō branch members want to bring wahine together to talk about these important kaupapa in a safe environment and with shared kai. We are really fortunate to have wahine share personal experiences with breast cancer while aiming to have more understand of menopause. Come and share space as we grow our knowledge respectfully together.

Waitakaro Kohanga Reo will be providing our kai for the day, and we also ask that everyone bring a small plate to share. Ma to rourou, ma taku rourou, ka ora te iwi.
