Event description

STRATEGY & INNOVATION

Innovating strategy to innovate our organisations

Strategy is changing for organisations – from being onerous, prescriptive and detailed – to setting direction and innovating the future as we head there. This new approach enables us to ‘build the plane while we are flying it’.

This session is for senior leaders wanting to rejuvenate their organisations through an innovative approach to strategy. In this workshop you will explore:

  • Innovations in strategy
  • The collision of strategy and innovation
  • Capabilities you can develop to work in this way

This session is presented by CSI associates, Louise Marra and Rachael Trotman.

Louise Marra provides specialist advice on the development of leadership, systems work and social innovation.

Louise has capabilities in strategy development, social innovation and innovative thinking, general leadership development, executive coaching and mentoring, and creating effective cultures. Louise has many years’ experience working both in and on leadership at senior levels in the not-for-profit, government and private sectors.

She was previously the Executive Director for the Auckland Policy Office (a cross-government initiative) and has also worked as an advisor to former Prime Minister, Sir John Key.

Louise is currently Director of the Leadership New Zealand programme, and runs her own business, Unity House.

Rachael Trotman is a social researcher and evaluator whose work includes facilitation, mentoring, writing and advisory work for a range of organisations, from grass roots community groups to philanthropic bodies and government agencies.
