Event description
Kick it up a Notch: Good Sports Workshop
Join us for a proactive workshop hosted by the Good Sports Team. This event is designed to empower your football club with valuable insights on the management of alcohol and how to make the most of end of financial year sponsorship.
Join the Good Sports team to find out how to make these tasks simple.
1. Responsible management of alcohol
Sporting clubs play a vital role in role modelling positive behaviours and creating a healthy community environment for members, families and guests. Your club has the power to help keep everyone healthier and safer – at your club and on the roads. Managing alcohol plays a big part in this.
Session will cover:
• Your club’s risk and protective factors – what are they?
• Sport and alcohol – the Australian landscape
• Scenarios your club might face and how to handle them
• Reducing risks from alcohol, including drink driving.
2. Grants and funding
We all know that in sport, timing your run can make a big difference to your club’s success. Seeking sponsorship is no different. In the lead up to EOFY, we usually see tax deductible donations being made, making now the perfect time to start your run.
Session will provide resources to:
- expand your funding opportunities
- Find where Good Sports keeps grant and funding opportunities
- See how being Gold Accredited with Good Sports is favourable for you in being successful for sponsorship
