Adventurers wanted!
The Red Lion Adventuring Co. is calling for brave heroes aged 8–12 to embark on their very first tabletop quest! This isn't Dungeons & Dragons - it's faster, simpler, and gets our young heroes into the adventure quicker! This is the ultimate way to step into the world's greatest game of imagination, teamwork, and storytelling!
Led by a professional Game Master and teacher, this beginner-friendly session will introduce young players to:
🗺️ The basics of Tabletop Adventure gameplay
🎲 Rolling dice and making choices
🧙 Solving problems together
🐉 An age-appropriate adventure full of mystery and monsters!
No experience is required — just bring your curiosity, creativity, and a sense of adventure!
All materials (including dice, pencils, and character sheets) will be provided.
Parents welcome too (free)!

📅 Date: Sunday 11th October, 2026.
🕓 Time: 2 pm - 4:30 pm
📍 Location: Joe's Games and Gulsch, at Joe's Corner in Melrose.
💰 Cost: $15 per child. Parents attend free when paying for an attending child.

- What Do I Need to Bring?
Just yourself, your imagination, and a readiness to cooperate with others to solve puzzles and respond to challenges! Pre-made characters, stationery, dice, and other materials are all provided by the Red Lion Adventuring Company.
- Can I bring food or drink?
Joe's Games & Gulsch provides a selection of snacks (Gulsch) and drinks for purchase to stay fueled on your adventure! We ask that you do not bring any outside food or drinks to the venue.
- Are parents allowed to attend?
