Tuesday 29th September: pottery handbuilding - textured clay mugs, 10am - 11:30am, Ages 9+ ticket
Tue, 29 Sep, 10am - 11:30am ACSTSelling fastJoin me for a fun clay handbuilding class at the Woorabinda Environment Centre. We will be creating slab built mugs out of pre rolled clay and with a range of different templates that will create different mug shapes. Slab building helps to create a smoother more even object, as well as allowing you to easily create taller shapes. We will also be using stamps, textured rollers and other textured items that we can make impressions in your clay surface with. Each person can make up two large mugs or three small to medium sized mugs. There will be a bit of a wait period of roughly three weeks whilst I dry, fire and then glaze fire your mugs. Recommended Age 9+, please contact me to discuss suitability if your child is younger

Tue, 6 Oct, 10am - 12pm ACDTSelling fastGet creative making your own linocut designs to print on tshirts and tote bags. This is a super fun workshop where you will learn the whole process of fabric printing including: creating the design, carving into softcut rubber lino and finally printing it on your fabric item. Feel free to bring along two items to print on that have smooth fabric (cotton is best). Each person participating in this workshop will also recieve a tote bag to print on. Recommended for ages 10+

Get prepared for the big Aussie bird count by learning to paint local native birds that live in the Mt Lofty Ranges. As you draw and paint I will tell you some interesting facts about your chosen birds. After the class you can check out my maker's studio which is where I create all my bird paintings. Please get in touch if your child is under 7 to discuss suitability
