Kids Do Art - Ceramics Term 2 2021
Event description
Participants will become familiar with the most common techniques of hand building ceramics such as coiling, pinching, slab building and imprinting design and become familiar with underglaze and glazing techniques.
The sessions allow tutors and participants the opportunity to share a creative space in which the shapes and objects chosen as reference models suit the group's dynamic. Stimulus for workshops will vary from a ‘simple’ cereal bowl (coiling) to a complex triceratops (pinching), and even a Taco Fish! (Slab). The sessions focus on the development of participants' technique and practical skills without formal assessment.
This class is suitable for children aged 6 - 9
