Description

Coming to Grafton for the first time!! Join NSW Health & Dauntless NSW for a fun, hands-on cooking session! Learn how to create a delicious Mexican dish while building practical cooking skills, learning about food safety and healthy eating, and gaining confidence in the kitchen. Young people under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. This event is accessible and inclusive to all young people aged 12- 18 years old. Adults do not need a ticket. Spaces are limited and booking is essential!

Program Goals and Benefits

Nutrition Education: Children learn about different food groups, healthy meal planning, and the importance of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.

Cooking Skills: Programs teach essential kitchen skills such as knife handling, measuring ingredients, following recipes, and safe food preparation.

Confidence and Life Skills: Hands-on cooking activities help children develop teamwork, independence, problem-solving, and self-confidence.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION

Participants accept that participation in this event is at their own risk. Each person must accept that participating in this event may involve risk of serious injury. Contestants declare that they are physically fit and capable of participating in this event. If you have health issues such as, epilepsy or asthma, it is advised to let the event organisers know. Contestants agree to abide by any advice given by the events First-aid Officer regarding their health and give consent to receive and pay for any medical treatment required, including transport by ambulance (before, during or after the event). Safety precautions are undertaken by the Organiser of this event as per Council requirements, but is not a full guarantee of an individual’s safety. The Organisers of this event will take no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property. Any contestant who is found to be disruptive and/or sabotaging the course may be asked to the leave the event by the Organisers. Contestants accept that the event Organisers decision is final and that no correspondence will be entered into. NO abusive behaviour will be tolerated at this event. The event Organiser reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions at their discretion. Contestants consent to being photographed throughout the event. By registering for this event, you agree to receive event-related communications via email (such as updates, reminders, and post-event surveys).

 

WAIVER

I completely acknowledge, understand and accept that participation in this event could include activities or tasks which may be dangerous or hazardous to me. I consent that it is okay that I may be photographed whilst participating the event. I acknowledge there may be a risk of injury during the event even though all precautions will be taken by the event organisers to ensure all participants are kept safe. I agree to waive ALL and any claim, right of course of action, which I or my heirs might otherwise have arising out of loss of live or injury that I may suffer in my participation in the event. I consent to myself and my child/ren receiving medical advice and treatment by the event first aid officer and to pay for any medical treatment and/or transport by ambulance required before, during and after the event. I agree that NO liability of any kind will be attached to me and my child/ren involved in the organisation of the event. I acknowledge that I have read and understood all the conditions of registration and agree to abide by the Terms & Conditions of the Youth Run for Mental Health event stated in this declaration. 

 

Privacy Statement

I consent to Clarence Valley Council collecting my personal information and sharing relevant registration details and responses with event facilitators and delivery partners for the purpose of delivering, coordinating, communicating about, and evaluating this event. I understand my information will be managed in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) and Council’s Privacy Management Plan.
