Kids Lion Dance Workshop
Event description
Join the fun Kids Lion Dance Workshop at South Eveleigh this Lunar New Year! Lion Dance Kids uses storytelling to introduce concepts of teamwork, strength, wisdom and bravery while explaining the origins of Lunar New Year celebrations and the significance of cultural diversity. The kids will learn a short 10-step routine and will be invited to partake in a live performance in pairs.
There are two 45 minutes sessions available at 10am and 10.45am.
Location: Interchange Pavillion, corner of Central Avenue and Davy Road.
Wet weather backup: Head to the top of the stairs in the covered area outside the Community Building, above the Egg of the Universe cafe.
All school ages are welcome! Parents and guardians don't need tickets but must attend the session and supervise their child/ren for the duration of the activities. This is not a drop-off event. The event may need to be rescheduled subject to changes out of our control.
