A show for the young and young at heart
and the perfect introduction to classical music.

It’s holiday time and River City Voices is jumping aboard a cruise ship with their good friends Western Sydney Youth Orchestra !

But what happens when they get stuck on the Parramatta River?

Led by irrepressible tour guide, Beethoven no less, and two very friendly eels, musical mayhem unfolds as the children, choir and orchestra try singing up a storm to rescue stranded holiday makers.

Join River City Voices' first ever Kids' Proms concert for its LOCAL series presented in the iconic PHIVE in Parramatta Square.

This concert is the perfect introduction for young children and families to classical music through the wondrous workings of a 60+ voice choir and orchestra headed up by talented western Sydney musicians.

This interactive show, immersed in the wonderful music of Beethoven, Strauss, Nick Cave, local composer Elizabeth Sheppard and more,
will run for approximately 40 minutes.

And don’t forget to wear your holiday outfits, just in case we make it onto that cruise ship after all!

NB: This venue has strict capacity and must be managed tightly so there will be NO Door Sales. Online ticket sales close at 11.55pm on November 22.

Getting to PHIVE

The Discovery Space is in the lower level of PHIVE (the building with the slopy red roof!) which is located in the vibrant Parramatta Square !
