Kids Wardrobe and Toy Refresh- Summer-Autumn edition

Event description

Please join us for Cambridge's Children's Wardrobe and Toy Refresh up to size 12, including clothing, accessories, shoes, toys, games, books etc.

Recycle the things your kids no longer love and enjoy picking out some new items that they do.

Save your money for experiences instead of wasting it on fast fashion and help out the planet!

Everything left over is donated to charity...

How does it work?

Clear out your kids' wardrobes, drawers and storage of items that are too big, too small, too daggy or they just won't wear or don't use.

Room set-up

On the day we will have

  • Various racks labelled with clothing types - dresses, skirts, shirts, jackets, dress-ups, etc;
  • Tables set up for foldable items not requiring display such as casual pants, jeans, t-shirts, shorts, exercise gear, shoes, bags etc.

Bring your things already sorted into different categories:

  • For the racks: Dresses, jackets, dress pants, suits, skirts, shirts etc should already be on hangers ready for you to pop on the clothes racks;
  • For the tables: Casual pants, jeans, t-shirts, shorts, exercise gear, shoes, bags, toys/books etc will have tables allocated to them.  Please sort them in their categories to make it easier for you to place on the clearly marked tables.

On the day:

  • Register at the desk;
  • Weigh your incoming bags (so we know how much textile waste we are saving from landfill);
  • Hang your items (which will already be on hangers) on the racks;
  • Place your items that can go on tables according to their clothing types;
  • Browse the racks for items you need!!

We will have spare hangers and a sorting table for those who couldn't pre-prepare.  In this case - use the table to sort, hang using our clothes hangers, then hang your items and place on the racks set up around the event.  There will be staff to assist you on the day.
