Kids workshop - Make a bug with Junk! with Peg Davies (Lessen With Peg)

The City of Vincent is hosting a hands-on kids workshops all about repurposing materials in a creative way!

Please note parents/guardians must accompany and supervise their children during this workshop. Parents are also encouraged to join in to assist their children during the workshop and have fun coming up with creative designs to make your own "junk bug".

10:30 AM - 11:45 AM (informal Q&A for parents and families with our Waste Educator - if you have any questions about household waste, tricky items, and the range of sustainable rebates available to residents this is a great opportunity to chat to a City of Vincent team member )

About this event:

Participants will explore waste items that may typically be thrown away, and come up with creative designs to repurpose materials to make a "Junk Bug" to take home, This hands-on workshop allows children to investigate different material properties and how they can be pieced together without any need for glue or sticky tape! The materials are sourced from and supplied by local creative reuse business, ReMida.

• Tickets are free however registrations are required to assist with planning.

• Please only register for your child's ticket, an adult to accompany the child/children during the event. 

• The minimum age to participate is 5 years, children will be using scissors.

• Please note that priority for this workshop will be given to City of Vincent residents. 

• Photography will be conducted at this event. Please advise staff if you do not wish to be included in photos that may be used for promotional purposes.
