Join us for a screening of Australian classic Breaker Morant at the Kangaroo Island Yacht Club followed by a Q&A with local filmmakers David Foreman and Ruth de la Lande.

$15 for adults, $10 for children

Based on a true story, Breaker Morant tells the tale of the controversial court-martial of three Australian officers during the Boer War. Their leader, Harry 'Breaker' Morant, was an officer, a gentleman, a horse-breaker, a poet and a renegade, but was he also a war criminal?

Breaker Morant was directed by Bruce Beresford, and stars Edward Woodward, Jack Thompson, Bryan Brown and Lewis Fitz-Gerald.

KI locals David Foreman and Ruth de la Lande worked on Breaker early in their lengthy film careers. Ruth's career in film costumes also includes The Club, Australian Rules, Beautiful Kate, and Rabbit-Proof Fence. Cinematographer David worked in the camera department on films including Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Fourth Wish, Robbery Under Arms, and Shine.

Ticket sales profits will go to Angel Flight.

Angel Flight Australia is a charitable organisation coordinating free, non-emergency flights and ground transportation so people who live in rural and regional Australia can access the specialist medical treatments they need.
