Join us for a screening of Australian classic Oscar and Lucinda at the Kangaroo Island Yacht Club followed by a Q&A with local filmmaker and Oscar-nominee Gethin Creagh.
$15 for adults, $10 for children
(Children must be accompanied by an adult.)
Movie starts at 7pm.
Bar open at 6:30pm.

Set in the mid-1800s, Oscar and Lucinda is the tale of a young priest and a teenage heiress who meet on a ship to Australia, and bond over their love of gambling. In Sydney, Lucinda builds a glass church and bets Oscar that he can't transport it to a remote outback settlement.
Based on the popular novel by Peter Carey, Oscar and Lucinda stars Cate Blanchett and Ralph Fiennes, and was directed by Gillian Armstrong. It was nominated for an Oscar for its costumes, and for 7 Australian Film Industry Awards, winning 5, including Best Achievement in Sound.
Based on Kangaroo Island, Gethin Creagh ASSG has been working for over 50 years as a film and TV sound mixer in Australia and New Zealand. Amongst his many awards and nominations, the KI resident was nominated for an Oscar for Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, and nominated for 14 Australian Film Industry Awards, winning six times - including for Oscar and Lucinda. His long filmography includes Gallipoli; The Piano; Little Women; The World's Fastest Indian; Cosi; Babe: Pig in the City; December Boys; Tomorrow, When the War Began, and Storm Boy.
