13 Oct - Kintsugi - Restore through faith & Art
Event description
Kintsugi is back again! After an immersive deep dive into the spiritual art of healing our broken parks through art and reflection, we are bringing you another opportunity to be an active participant in your recovery.
The Kintsugi workshop - Restore through Faith & Art workshop brings together a century-old Japanese philosophy with the spiritual understanding of Allah (swt) as Al-Jabbar, The mender of all things broken. Kintsugi is the Japanese craft of embracing imperfections and highlighting beauty through golden repair. In this transformative workshop, we will learn to embrace the broken parts inside us and move forward with hope and healing.
🎨 In this hands-on session, you'll:
- Learn the history and philosophy behind Kintsugi
- Practice repairing ceramic pieces using traditional techniques
- Create your own unique Kintsugi masterpiece to take home
Note* The Kintsugi process will run for 4 hours with a break in between for refreshments and prayers. This will be followed with a short spiritual reflection by a guest speaker and lunch.
Whether you're new to Kintsugi or looking to deepen your skills, this workshop offers a serene space to explore creativity and mindfulness.
