Come along for a relaxed and uplifting evening of kirtan — mantra meditation accompanied by music.

Kirtan is a simple and enjoyable form of meditation using mantra and music. You can simply sit back, relax and listen, or join in with the chanting if you feel comfortable. It’s a beautiful way to unwind, calm the mind and experience meditation in a different way.

Mantra Breathwork – a simple breathing and mantra practice to help calm and settle the mind

New to kirtan?

You are very welcome! No previous meditation or kirtan experience is needed. You don’t need to know how to sing and there’s no pressure to participate — simply join in as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

Come on your own or bring a friend. Everyone is welcome.

About kirtan

Kirtan is a form of mantra meditation from the yoga tradition. The practice involves listening to mantras being sung and then responding if you wish, with music supporting the meditation.

It’s easy to participate in, even if you’ve never meditated before. Simply come along, get comfortable and enjoy the experience.

FAQs – What to Know Before You Come

Do I need to know how to sing?
Not at all! You’re welcome to sing along, hum, clap, sway—or simply listen and enjoy the beauty of sacred sound.

Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Many people come solo and leave feeling connected and uplifted. It’s a warm, welcoming space for everyone.

What should I bring?
Just yourself. If you’d like, bring a water bottle. Chairs are provided. There’s no need to bring a yoga mat.

Is this a religious event?
No. Kirtan is a spiritual practice rooted in ancient yogic tradition, but it's not tied to any religion. People of all beliefs and backgrounds are welcome to experience and enjoy it
