It's the month before Christmas, and deep in the city 
Kitchen Takeover's crew is making things pretty 
Fairy lights flicker, pōhutukawa blooming 
And a five-course fiesta is rapidly looming. 
 
We've spring-cleaned the bach, here's summer's glint 
We've dug the new spuds and collected the mint 
The marshmallow's burning a beaut shade of black 
As our berry-stained fingers are crafting a snack. 
 
The barbie is sizzling, the ham's being basted 
We're cooking the best kai that you've ever tasted 
Grab your friends and your whānau for a festive delight

What?  Five courses, a welcome cocktail or mocktail, and a whole retro bach full of summer festive vibes!   

When? Thursday, 27th of November to Friday, 19th of December | 6:30pm - late  

Where? Secret Location, Tauranga CBD  - the secret location will be revealed two hours prior via text! And it’s not St Amand – that would be too easy 😊 

How much?  $149pp + booking fee  

We're tarting up the bach, cranking up the barbie, chucking out the longline and digging up a new spud or two for a Quintessential Kiwi Christmas feast.

💰 How much?    

Tickets cost $149pp + a small booking fee and includes five courses plus a welcome cocktail or mocktail at a fully immersive, styled secret venue.    

We use Humanitix for our ticket bookings - all their profits fund education programmes for disadvantaged children to help close the education gap.

A ✨ secret location ✨ in the Tauranga CBD.  No, it’s not St Amand / Saint Wine Bar!  

🤐 How will I know where the secret location is?   

The location is revealed two hours prior to the event time by text and email.  

🍽️ What will you eat?    

The menu is set and will be revealed on arrival - surprise!  

🌱 What about dietaries?  

We have alternative gluten free and vegetarian menus. Please select any listed requirements at the checkout.

👨‍🍳 Who is designing the mouthwatering menu?   

In the kitchen we have Dan Lockhart. 

Dan is Executive Chef at our sister restaurant, Saint Wine Bar. He sharpened his skills at top restaurants in the Bay, including Fife Lane as their 'Mibrasa Master,' before moving to a family-friendly role. Prior to that, he spent five years in Melbourne, working at renowned venues like Republica and Press Club. His effortless, ingredient-focused dishes are inspired by seasonal produce. 

🪑 How does seating work? 

Seating will be communal.  

🤔 Who is it for?    

Wild-at-heart foodies on the hunt for a ‘big city’ style food adventure. Think the secrecy of an East London supper club mixed with the gastronomy of a top Melbourne laneway eatery and the creativity of a Copenhagen restaurant.    

💃 What should I wear?    

The most important question! It’s the season for celebration, so feel free to dress up and add a touch of summer Kiwi flair!  

🍷 Will there be drinks available to buy during the evening?    

Yes, we will offer a curated selection of beers, wines and soft drinks. We will also offer a wine and non-alcoholic drinks match which can be purchased on the evening.
