KMAM Single-Mic Sessions

Thank you to all who've supported the Single Mic Sessions since it started seven months ago. Our next show on Wednesday 13 March 2024 will be final SMS in the current pilot series, partnered with the City of Fremantle. 

We have a fantastic line-up for Wednesday 13 March - 

• Archer with Luke Dux - 'old time sing song man' country blues crooner from Victoria
• Tanya Ransom with Tilly Kay - original folk blues alt country
• Ebb Tide Men - close harmony a cappella trad folk
• Ilan Zagoria & Mark Cain - Zimbabwean and South African guitar
• Jane Laws - folk singer songwriter
• Plus 'walk-up' guests, more to be announced

KMAM Single Mic Sessions (SMS) are a regular intimate acoustic music events in Fremantle featuring short set performances by experienced, early career and community players, plus special guest artists. The sessions are structured to include a range of genre styles, artist levels, and ‘walk-up’ song spaces. The music content focuses mainly on folk, world and roots genres, incorporating contemporary, trad, fusion, and original compositions, using a retro-style single-microphone production set-up, ideal for simple acoustic instrumentation.

The ethos of the SMS project aligns with the folk tradition of intergenerational collaboration, sharing skills, knowledge, and expertise in a respectful supportive environment. To enquire about performing, contact sms@kaleidoscopemam.com
