This workshop is designed to help you read and understand a set of annual accounts. We will go through a real set of accounts and explain what all the terms mean, what things you need to look out for and show you what your accounts can tell you about the financial health of the business. The session will cover:

• How to read your annual accounts

• The difference between your balance sheet and income

• The importance of cash and assets

• What your Board needs to know

For you if:

• you have little or no accountancy or budgetary experience

• you are or will be involved in reading and understanding your organisation’s accounts
