Event description

Know Your Worker Rights session will provide you with practical and necessary information for you to be aware of and exercise your rights in Australia when you find employment. 

Topics covered will include:

  • Types of roles
  • Pay and leave entitlements
  • Health & Safety
  • Discrimination
  • Free and confidential referral pathways

The session is ideal for individuals who are newly employed, looking for employment and / or recently arrived to Australia.

The workshop is facilitated by Mehak Sheikh, and run in collaboration with the Migrant Workers Centre, BCCA Inc. and Wyndham City Council's Dianella Community Centre.
