Introduction Session: Knowledge, Practice, and Engagement Workshop

Art Education Victoria is excited to announce a new online workshop series that will provide a platform for like-minded educators to build knowledge, develop practice and engage with peers.

The KPE workshop series has been developed for Pre-Service Educators, Permission to Teach Educators, New Graduates, and Returning to Work Teachers, as well as educators in the visual arts subject area seeking to refresh their practice and revisit the fundamentals.

Key workshop areas:

• Knowledge– The Curriculum and How To Use It: Discussion of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0

• Practice – Planning Documentation: Sharing ways of planning lessons and how to allow for considerations

• Engagement – Suppliers: What to get and where to get resources from

• Art Nook – A new space for teachers to share ideas: what strategies are effective and ineffective

• Best Practice – Ideas about best practice in the art room will be shared 

Hosted by Olivia Migani, Art Teacher at Springside West Secondary College and Art Education Victoria Board Member, along with guest speakers each term.
 

Introduction Session

Join us online for the first session of the series. This session will introduce the overall program and will begin to unpack key topics. All questions are welcomed in a supportive environment.

Date: Thursday, 22 October 2026
Time: 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM – future sessions will be held on the third week of every term.
Price:  $20 (ArtEdVic Members) $40 (General Admission)

Future sessions will be held Thursday Week 3 each of each term at 3:30 PM. Registration is required for each session. Each attendee must be registered.
