Description

Join us for a unique and inspiring experience led by a respected First Nations Elder, where ancient wisdom meets modern sustainability.

Date: Sunday 4 October
Time: 10 am–12:00 pm

Location: Banjo Paterson Reserve, Lynbrook

Meeting Place: In front of Lynbrook Family and Community Centre

What to Bring:

  • A smartphone or tablet (if you have) with the iNaturalist app installed (we’ll help you get started!)

  • Hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle

Through powerful storytelling (Hudson Fraser- Educator from Thursday Island, Torres Strait) and lived knowledge, you’ll gain deep insights into traditional ecological practices, land stewardship, and sustainable ways of living that have supported Aboriginal communities for tens of thousands of years.

This is more than a workshop—it’s an opportunity to connect with Country, learn from the world’s oldest living culture, and walk away with practical knowledge to care for our environment and communities. Children are welcome accompannied by their parent.
