Koala CARER Field Day
🐨 Don't Miss the Koala CARER Field Day! 🌿
Join us for a family-friendly Koala CARER Field Day and discover how we can all play a role in protecting and restoring koala habitat across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
This engaging community event is designed for local landholders, conservationists, families and anyone interested in learning more about koalas, habitat restoration and the practical steps we can take to support healthy landscapes.
Hear from a range of industry professionals and local conservation experts, with talks covering koala ecology, habitat conservation, research and practical ways to support koalas on your property and across the wider landscape.
The day will also include hands-on tree planting, giving participants the opportunity to get involved in restoring koala habitat while learning more about revegetation, selecting suitable native species, and how revegetation can benefit koalas and other local wildlife.
Speakers will include representatives from:
University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC)
Queensland Koala Conservation (QKC)
Hinterland Bush Links (HBL)
Malani from @koala_family_adventures
The field day is a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, get your hands dirty, connect with others who care about our local environment, and see koala habitat restoration in action.
Whether you’re a landholder looking to improve habitat on your property, a conservation enthusiast, or simply curious to learn more about our local koalas, everyone is welcome.
