Event description

Join Hinterland Bush Links on Sunday 19th May at Simon and Sue's in Booroobin for a fun-filled morning to plant a further 500 koala food and habitat trees within to expand koala habitat. We planted 200 trees at this property last year and we are excited to be visiting again for our biggest planting yet!

All ages are welcome to join us and make a tangible difference for our furry friends. No experience is required, our friendly team will provide all the guidance and necessary tools. Just bring your enthusiasm, sturdy shoes, sun safe clothing, and a pair of gloves if you have them! This event will require minimal walking to the planting area and work on uneven terrain.

Following the tree planting, we have some special guests - Olivia, Cashew and Shaggy from Owad Environmental. Cashew is a pro field k9 dog who helps Olivia's team detect koalas. Olivia and Cashew will do a quick demonstration and Olivia will share about koala citizen science projects that you can get involved in. Check out Olivia and Cashew in action here.

Together, we can make a difference and create a healthier environment for koalas. Register today for this Koala Habitat Community Tree Planting Day. Come along to plant trees and learn more about koalas.

Please note that we cannot accommodate pets at this event. Please do not attend if you are experiencing cold and/or flu symptoms. Attendees will be provided with the address and meeting details prior to the event.
