Event description

About the event

Learn the Japanese horticultural technique of Kokedama!  Kokedama (translating as ‘moss ball’) is a clever and fun way to contain a plant’s root ball in soil, moss, and twine.  This makes for an aesthetically interesting and fun way to present and care for your houseplants.

All materials needed are provided for this 2-hour workshop.

In this workshop you will:

  • Create your own kokedama house plant.

  • Select from 3-different easy and beautiful indoor plants.

  • Learn the Japanese technique of kokedama to use for your own future plant crafting projects.

  • Choose either a hanging or water dish option for display.

Daniel Becker, manager of Habitat Plant House, has been playing with plants for many decades now.  Learn some general house plant care tips and a new way to get creative with both your plants and interior decor.  See more from Habitat Plant House on Instagram at @habitat.plant.house .
