Komodo Medical Meeting

I'm hosting a small-group medical update meeting at TA’AKTANA, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo, over 5 days, with topics of interest for all doctors (and other healthcare professionals), from Sunday July 5th (registration and meet and greet) to Thursday July 9th 2026.

Conference Overview

This conference is a small group meeting of healthcare and medical specialists. It is hoped that attendees will use the conference to deliver an educational talk on their own area/s of special interest or experience, while being educated by their colleagues in other disciplines. Talks will be delivered at a level relevant to everyday practice for sub specialists and general practitioners alike.

A secondary aim is to allow speakers a gentle introduction into conference speaking and education delivery in a safe and supportive environment in an effort to improve the medical education experience for seniors, DiTs and medical students.

The final aim is to facilitate networking and self care. To this end we include evening networking sessions as an important part of our conference timetable; as well as using the beautiful location of the conference venue to include self care events and time for participants to engage in mindfulness and recovery.

Conference talks will be held in a hotel room, beachside and at restaurant venues over breakfast or other meals for a more casual atmosphere. There are no conference facilities on the island so a standard hotel room will be the primary venue, with seating quite informal. If space issues arise all talks will have a handout on the key takeaway points. Talks will be held at varying times each day to allow attendees time to sample the wonderful facilities and location.

We aim for around 18 hours of educational content over the 4 days (4.5hrs a day average), however the timetable will continue to vary until all talk topics are finalised and registrations closed (likely by March 2026).

Please note that registration includes no meals nor accommodation or transport. Non medical parters do not need registration.
