Join Capel Youth Services for a full day of adventure andĀ fun with Koomal Dreaming.


For youth agedĀ 10-17 who live, work, or study in the Shire of Capel

Ticket price is $40 and includes
  • Coach TransportĀ 
  • Koomal Dreaming TourĀ 
  • 2 staff to support throughout the day

Embark on a captivating 2.5-hour journey into the heart of Ngilgi Cave and connect with the Wadandi culture through hands-on experiences.

Walk with Josh along the Ancient Lands walk to the Koomal Dreaming Meeting place, join him for a bushwalk and gain insight into identifying indigenous plants, foods, and medicines, intricately connected to the six Noongar seasons.

Youā€™ll watch a traditional fire lighting with stick-rubbing techniques before travelling into the cave to experience the melodies of Joshā€™s didgeridoo, made all the more enchanting with the caveā€™s extraordinary acoustics.

This Ngilgi cave tour is a window into a world rich in history and tradition.

Koomal Dreaming - Ngilgi Cave Cultural Tour

8:30am. Parent drop off at Dalyellup Community Centre (135 Norton Promenade Dalyellup)

8:30am - 8:50. Drive from Dalyellup to Capel (20 mins)

8:50am. Parent drop off at Capel Community Centre (31 Forest Road, Capel)

8:50am - 9:50. Drive from Capel ā€“ Ngilgi cave 1 hour

9:50. Arrive- Ticketing & toilet

10:00am- 12:30pm. Ngilgi Cave Cultural Tour (76 Yallingup Caves Road)

12:30- 12:45 Toilet & embark bus

12:45 ā€“ 1pm Drive from Ngilgi to Dunsborough Bay

1:00- 2pmĀ  Lunch & Chill ~ Dunsborough Bay Beach

*This is a shallow bay, if you would like to have a splash and paddle during the lunch period then please bring appropriate beach wear and a towel.Ā  We will not be going to the shark net we will be going on the shallow ā€˜dog beachā€™ bay side where it is too shallow for swimming as lifeguards are not present on the day this is the saftest area for our group.

2pm. Embark Bus

2:00pm- 3:00pm Drive from Dunsborough to Capel (56 mins)

3:00~ Parent Pick up from Capel Community Centre (31 Forest Road, Capel)

3:00- 3:20. Drive from Capel to Dalyellup

3:20pm. Parent Pick Up from Dalyellup Community Centre (135 Norton Promenade Dalyellup)


Key Info

Please note that youth will be allowed to go off in groups of 2+ and may be unsupervised at times in the day. You can contact the Youth Officer (Nadine Stanford)Ā onĀ 0418 395 754 at any time throughout the Inzone program.Ā Please ensure the young peopleĀ bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen, andĀ lunch and snacks.Ā (We will not be stopping at any food venues during the day)Ā 

Participant Code of Conduct

Participants must read and agree to theĀ Capel Youth Services Code of Conduct. I WILL NOT participate in any of the following:

  • Ā Be mean to anyone including, but not limited to, calling them names, putting them down, spreading rumours, or anything else that would make others uncomfortable or upset.
  • Use racist or sexist language or insult people based on their religion, sexual orientation, disability, or physical appearance.
  • Use violent, threatening, or aggressive behaviour or language.
  • Deliberately damage any property including tagging and other forms of vandalism.
  • Touch or take any property that does not belong to me unless I have permission from the owner.
  • Bring alcohol or any other illicit substances to any Capel Youth Services programs.
  • Be under the influence of any substances. If I am I will be asked to leave and if I refuse the police may be called.

Misbehaviour will be dealt with using a three-stage warning system. On the third warning, the young person will be asked to leave immediately and will be given a ban for a specific period depending on the severity of the incident and at the discretion of the Youth Community Development Officer. The warning level may also be automatically escalated depending on the severity of the breach. I acknowledge that if I break any clause in this contract I may be sent home immediately and / or barred from all future Capel Youth Services activities. I also understand that if I break any laws that the police will be notified
