Kopasetic 'Awake' single launch w/ The Burley Griffin & Anna Ransom

Fresh off releasing their recent single 'Ruminating', Kopasetic are back with a new folk original 'Awake', which will be launched at the new Dissent Cafe & Bar (formerly Beach Burrito Co) on Friday 13 December 2024. Kopasetic will be joined on the night by local legends The Burley Griffin (band) and Anna Ransom (solo).

Kopasetic is a live music powerhouse, delivering raw earthy rhythms from a melting pot of rock-reggae, roots and folk music. The sextet thoroughly explores the limits of these genres, from bone-shaking off-beat grooves to soulful ballads.

Kopasetic’s sharply refined live set has seen them booked to support the likes of Kim Churchill, Jeff Lang, and Glastonbury veterans True Vibenation & Gusto Gusto; as well as for sets at Dragon Dreaming Festival and Sydney Folk Festival. The band is beloved in their hometown of Ngunnawal/Canberra, Australia - consistently drawing in large crowds to their releases and headline shows - from packing out the Street Theatre for the launch of ‘Petrified’, to pulling hundreds to the mountains for their outdoor headline sets at Corin Forest (Roots & Reggae in the Forest).
