    Event description

This is the field component of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage for Landholders Workshop, held on June 1st.  Due to adverse weather, we were unable to complete the field component of this event.  We are now rescheduling this Walk&Talk as a separate event and would love you to join us.

Kore Kore Creek Reserve is a very special Council owned and managed property in Tea Gardens.  Zoned for Conservation and purchased as part of an offset process for the Tea Gardens Landfill Facility, the area contains significant Aboriginal Cultural Heritage attributes.

The field trip will be a simple walk and talk event, with Council's Anthony Marchment leading us over the reserve.  Anthony will give us an overview of the recent management history of the reserve.

We will take a look at recent burn areas and observe the lush native plant regeneration.

We will also visit the mangrove flats along Kore Kore Creek where years of careful bush regeneration have restored this significant ecosystem.

The event will involve a bush walk over uneven ground and is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

This event is free to all landholders in the MidCoast 2 Tops Landcare network and clients of the Biodiversity Conservation Trust. MC2T Landcare reserves the right to prioritise our members, BCT clients and local landholders, in the event of capacity ticket sales.

Landcare NSW and the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust are working together to raise awareness and support private land conservation efforts across the state.
