Event description

In an increasingly polarised world how do we as leaders strengthen cultural and social cohesion?

You’re invited to join us for a timely kōrero on what leadership looks like in a rapidly changing Aotearoa.

We know that many of us sit in rooms where inclusion, kotahitanga, and cultural inclusion are understood and valued, but we also know the world outside those rooms is shifting.

This is an invitation to step into a kōrero that creates space for challenge, reflection, and connection. It’s for leaders who want to do more than talk about cohesion. It’s for those ready to lead in ways that strengthen it.

You’ll hear from three women leading powerful work across marae, business, and community:

  • Angela Wilton, CEO of Belong Aotearoa. She’ll speak to recognising settler-colonial patterns and reframing inclusion.

  • Maretha Smit, CEO of Te Uru Tāngata Centre for Workplace Inclusion. She will share how kotahitanga can be anchored in practical leadership.

  • Maikara Ropata, Connected Leadership. She brings insight on leading from Te Ao Māori and creating spaces where others can step in with confidence.

Together, they’ll speak to the tensions and opportunities we face as leaders in Aotearoa, and the practical steps we can take to lead with integrity in an increasingly diverse, and often divided, world.

Following the kōrero, you'll be invited to continue the conversation over a glass of bubbles and shared platters. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available.

This event is for leaders, decision-makers, and community builders who want to grow their impact, deepen their understanding, and be part of shaping a more inclusive Aotearoa.
