Koun (formerly known as Tom) Vincent took a step back from public performance in 2019, after ordaining as a Zen monk in Japan.
Vincent enjoyed an illustrious career spanning 30 years. As a jazz pianist and bandleader he performed and recorded in Australia, Europe, Japan and USA alongside artists such as Branford Marsalis and Don Burrows. He has recorded eight albums.
In recent years, Vincent has been presenting private solo piano concerts in smaller, more intimate settings. The classic jazz repertoire is the vehicle for his unique musical expression.
This master musician is now ready to share again his profound musicality with a wider Australian audience.
