Event description

We’re excited to present a pilot series of five Masterclass Alumni Learning Labs exclusively for our KP Masterclass Alumni to reconnect to Kaospilot principles and with one another.

This Pilot Series (and each session) is designed and led by (and for) Masterclass Alumni.

The Learning Labs will provide you with a safe space to practise key Kaospilot SKAVs and leave with tools to enrich your own online learning programs.

LEARNING LABS:

  1. Connection before content online  - Thu, 29 Oct, 3:30 - 5:30
  2. Led by Aaron Densham and Will Dayble and hosted by Hrefna Björg

How can we emotionally connect online? Have FUN? We don't need to wait until we are face to face to laugh and cry. This session will set the scene for the following ones. We'll play and share with each other what has been working and what hasn't.

  3. Bringing content alive online - Thu, 5 Nov, 3:30 - 5:30
  4. Led by Elaine Olsen and hosted by Rebecca Loftus

How do we bring content to LIFE and connect with it? In this session, we'll use different techniques to bring content alive. Here there we'll be the opportunity to connect in small groups, coach and focus on the challenges that each of us is currently facing

  5. Virtual tools and tips: what works and what doesn’t online - Thu, 19 Nov, 3:30 - 5:30
Led by Hrefna Björg and hosted by Dylan Bennett

This will be a highly facilitated session on what doesn't work online and build a toolbelt with everything that works.

  6. To land or crash land? How might we better assess, measure and reflect online - Thu, 3 Dec, 3:30 - 5:30
Led by Jamie Fulcher and hosted by Kristin den Exter

To land or crash land? How are we assessing impact, measuring success and reflecting on our online learning journeys? What has worked that needs to stick? This interactive workshop will meet people where they are at, having some fun using learning arches as tools for reflection

  7. Co-designing learning online - Thu, 10 Dec, 3:30 - 5:30
Led by Judith Mckay and hosted by Boris Kelly

In this session, you'll take part in a collaborative design process. It will include a series of activities in break-out rooms and you'll be able to actively take part in a pre-ject process. This session will focus on vocational education and respond to the needs that it is currently facing.

Each Lab:

  • is limited to 25 participants, to ensure an intimate, engaged cohort.
  • includes a two-hour program of learning, followed by community social time.
  • runs fortnightly, 3:30-5:30 pm on Thursday.
  • costs $30 per session (split between heads, leads and Alkimia) + GST, or $127.50 + GST for the series (15% discount at checkout).

Life online is here to stay, at least in part. Let’s design a meaningful learning experience.
