🎤 Meet our Incredible Speakers
✨ Dr. Yongah Kim
Dr. Yongah Kim is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management at the Rotman School of Management, where she contributes to the Leadership Development Lab and the Self-Development Lab. Prior to joining Rotman in 2020, Yongah spent over 23 years as a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, working across Asia, the US, and Canada in a variety of industries. She holds the distinction of being the first Korean woman elected to Partner and Senior Partner at McKinsey. Beyond academia, Yongah is deeply involved in community leadership as the Vice Chair of the Board of The Hospital for Sick Children and Chair of its Research Committee, as well as a board member and Chair of the Governance Committee of EQB.
✨ Deborah McMillan
Deborah McMillan spent nearly 25 years as a pension plan actuary and retirement consultant, serving as lead actuary for clients such as Nestlé, United Way of Greater Toronto, Energizer, and Lakefield College. In 2014, Deborah made a bold career shift to become a full-time entrepreneur, founding Knowledge Makes Cents, a financial success academy for kids and parents. Passionate about philanthropy, Deborah has provided free financial literacy education to homeless youth through 360_Kids and actively volunteers on various nonprofit boards and finance committees.
✨ Jan Oh
Jan Oh is a strategic business leader with over 20 years of international experience in business growth, market development, and operations. As founder of OHRAJIN, she empowers medical aesthetics companies worldwide with end-to-end solutions including regulatory approvals, distribution, and commercialization. Previously, Jan served as the first female president of Globe Union and led Avanity Corporation, where she drove revenue growth and launched innovative product lines. A founding member of KPWA, Jan served as president from 2014 to 2024 and remains deeply committed to advancing women’s leadership.
✨ Ji Hyun Kwon
Ji is a Tax Partner in KPMG’s Financial Services Tax Practice, specializing in advising some of the firm’s largest clients such as global banks, pension funds, and private equity firms. She has contributed to key industry publications and presented at events including the Investment Industry Association of Canada. Ji helped develop KPMG’s global automatic exchange of information tools and served as Learning Leader for the Financial Services Tax group. Beyond her professional role, she is Executive Finance Officer of KPWA and a Board Member of the Toronto Concert Orchestra. A proud first-generation Canadian, Ji is passionate about mentoring future leaders and was recognized with the KPMG Community Leader Award for her community contributions.
✨ Jacqueline Y. Chu
Jacqueline Y. Chu is a psychotherapist, author, and speaker whose work bridges deep emotional healing with authentic leadership. A former lawyer who has navigated the toll of high performance, Jacqueline employs a mind-body approach to help people overcome perfectionism and self-doubt, guiding them toward clarity, self-trust, and grounded impact. She is the author of Facing Your Anxiety and believes that inner healing is the foundation for lasting transformation in how we lead and live.
✨ Dr. Jean Kim
Dr. Jean Kim is an award-winning educator and co-founder of LYP Training & Consulting. For the first half of her 20-year career, she taught at universities in Canada, the U.S., and Korea, earning multiple Teaching Excellence Awards. Transitioning into leadership and communication training, she has worked with global organizations including the World Bank, KPMG, and Seoul National University. A passionate advocate for mentoring young women, Jean has co-led KPWA’s signature mentorship program since 2014 and stepped into the role of Executive Director. Under her leadership, LYP was honored with the BMO Celebrating Women Award in 2024 for advancing gender equality.
✨ Dr. Yourie Kim
Dr. Yourie Kim is a Manager in People Analytics and Insights at OMERS, holding a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her research has been published in leading academic journals. At OMERS, she leads the employee listening portfolio, including the annual engagement survey, and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights for senior leaders. Outside of work, Yourie is Chair of the Leadership Committee at KPWA and is dedicated to empowering emerging leaders, especially from underrepresented communities.
✨ Jay S. Lim (임정숙)
Jay S. Lim is a design and business strategy leader with over 30 years of experience leading UX and product strategy at global companies including TD, HP, and RBC. She is the founder of One MoonCircles Consulting and currently serves as an Executive Advisor supporting startups and enterprises in aligning strategy with human-centered design. Formerly Head of Experience Design at TD, Jay brings inclusive, cross-cultural thinking to complex challenges. As KPWA’s Executive Operating Director and advisor to the Leadership and Communication Committees, she is deeply passionate about mentoring emerging leaders and creating meaningful community impact.

Lim)은 글로벌 기업에서 30년 이상 UX 및 프로덕트 디자인 전략을 이끌어온 디자인·비즈니스 리더입니다. 현재는 One MoonCircles Consulting (onemooncircles.com) 대표이자 Executive Advisor로 활동하며, 스타트업부터 대기업까지 다양한 조직과 협업하고 있습니다. 전 TD 디자인 총괄로서 복잡한 문제를 인간 중심의 시각으로 풀어낸 경험을 바탕으로, 포용적이고 전략적인 접근을 지향합니다. KPWA Executive Operating Director이자 Leadership 및 Communication Committee 자문으로서 커뮤니티에도 기여하고 있으며, 문화 간 통찰과 리더십 멘토링에 힘쓰고 있습니다.
✨ Yeji Hofferber
Yeji Hofferber is a Global Program Officer at YSpace at York University, where she develops and oversees entrepreneurship programs. She is passionate about building startup communities and supporting early-stage innovators. Yeji has facilitated international ecosystem connections, including helping Korean startups enter the Canadian market, and collaborates with various organizations to support founders throughout their growth journeys. She also chairs KPWA’s Mentorship Committee, leading initiatives to empower and connect Korean-Canadian women professionals.
✨ Emily Kim
Emily Kim is the Director of Tax & Treasury at Jamieson Wellness, bringing deep expertise in finance, tax strategy, and treasury operations. As a CPA, she is recognized for her thoughtful leadership, attention to detail, and collaborative approach. Outside of work, Emily is passionate about giving back to the community and has been a dedicated volunteer with KPWA for over seven years.
