This will be Kodiak Kid's first show in the state in over a decade! 
Supported by a talented array of local artists and DJ's, dishing out all things hip hop & bass, collaborating to bring you a truly delectable audio spread.

'The impact that has been made on Melbourne’s underground Bass scene by Kodiak Kid is beyond measure. For the past 15 years, his passionate contributions to all aspects of the movement has seen him evolve and establish himself and his influence as a key element responsible for the direction and development of the city’s Bass culture via his forward thinking events company’ Whomp Music’. Hosting acts such as Gramatik, CloZee, Beats Antique, Opiuo, Mad Zach, Dj Qbert, Blockhead, Stickybuds, K+Lab,Ashez to name a few. With his reputation amongst the Bass community, affiliations and collaborations with well known crews such as The Operatives, BrokenBeat Assault, Plasma Collaborative. This trait was further recognised in 2015 when he was offered the role of managing the Melbourne and Sydney shows of the ‘Opiuo Band Tour’ ofAustralia, marking a career highlight in an already thriving list of achievements in event management. The official label Dj for Addictech Records & Omelette Records speak as atrue testament to Kodiak Kid’s dedication and hard work both within the scene and as an individual. Amidst an active schedule of festival and club performances, his remaining time is shared between other creative projects in the studio producing projects with local hiphop Mc’s & vocalists as well as solo productions.2019 Saw the successful release of his debut EP ‘Drifting Status’ –The 5track EP presents itself as a true homage to the creative influences and artists from which its foundations were born. It embraces the fundamental elements of hip hop with classic production style and sampling techniques reminiscent of DJ Krush, DJ Shadow, RJD2,Hermitude and Plutonic Lab in eras gone by. Guided by the paths laiddown by older styles of hip hop, Kodiak Kid seeks to show off the rewards that come from countless hours spent digging, sampling andre-sampling from the endless crates of an authentic hip hop fan. Featuring a guest vocal performance from Melbourne MCMantra, Colab with Mad Zach (USA)and mixed and mastered by MonkeyMarcin his solar-powered Melbourne studio, Drifting Status carves itself a place amongst its peers, firmly in the crates of Australian hip hop. Having since then released on labels such as All.Lo Collective (Denver),Plasma Collaborative, Junkfood (K+Lab’s record label) UncomfortableBeats + more lined up for 2024 including an Ep with Mad Zach on hislabel “Anti-Space Records” and currently working on his first full length LP set for early release 2025'
