This workshop is perfect for those wanting to push the boundaries of traditional writing and explore innovative ways of merging language with other disciplines and forms.
Target audience: emerging and established writers, artists and creatives (not limited to poets) who are interested in conceptual writing and experimenting with their craft.

Hands-on Exercises:
- Exploring New Domains: Examine your own unique skills and passions outside of writing and learn how to weave them into your creative process to craft intermedia.
- Creating Intermedia with AI: Explore ethical ways of incorporating AI tools (like ChatGPT) into your writing, experimenting with human-technology interaction to create unique poetic works.
What should I bring to the event?
Please bring a laptop and writing tools i.e. pen and paper, and at least one short standalone piece of writing (maximum 500 words or 30 lines, your own or another writer’s).
About the Facilitator:
Coco X. Huang is a Chinese-Australian writer, musician and scientist who enjoys creating intermedia—interdisciplinary hybrid works that challenge and extend conventional forms. She won the 68th Blake Poetry Prize and a Faber Writing Academy scholarship and was shortlisted for the Booranga Prize for Prose and the Woollahra Digital Literary Award for Poetry. She has performed at the National Young Writers’ Festival, Boundless Festival, QPoetry! and Sydney Festival, and her works have appeared in Voiceworks, Meanjin, the Australian Poetry Journal, Cordite, Going Down Swinging, Meniscus and fourW, among others.
