Kūmara Growing Workshop

Ready to fall in love with kūmara? This one-hour speed date with this tasty crop will have you hooked!

This is a free event as part of the Raglan Horticultural Society "Garden Ramble".

What to Expect:

• Kōrero with Liz Stanway
  Learn some local methods of growing several varieties of kūmara, tested through growing the families supply of kumara for 25 years in Raglan.
• Liz will introduce Xtreme Zero Waste's compost products to grow kūmara and other super veges.
• Practical Fun
  Get your hands dirty creating traditional kūmara mounds and planting out the kūmara tipu (seedlings).
