Kunanyi Folk Club February

Evvy George & The Aviary

Evvy George is a Melbourne-based songwriter whose music sits at the intersection of alt-country, folk and classic honky tonk. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Gram Parsons, The Band, Neil Young and Crosby Stills Nash, his songs combine timeless melodies and rich vocal harmonies with deeply personal lyricism that explores themes of nature, belonging, mental health and self-acceptance.

Birdwatching and time spent in the Australian bush have become central to both Evvy's creative practice and artistic identity. His songwriting reflects a fascination with the natural world, using birds and landscapes not only as subjects, but as a lens through which to explore human experience.

Evvy performs with his band, Evvy George & The Aviary, whose warm blend of folk and honky tonk creates an intimate yet uplifting live experience. Their performances balance heartfelt storytelling with moments of joy, drawing audiences into songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. Through thoughtful songwriting, memorable live performances and a growing connection with audiences, Evvy has proven to be an artist with a unique perspective and a clear vision.

As usual, the evening's entertainment will begin with several floor spots. If you are interested in performing as a floor spot please contact Peter Hicks on peterhickstas@hotmail.com
