Event description

Kundalini – The Awakening

A Sacred Dance Journey

Experience a transcendent evening of classical Odissi dance as Dr Sam Goraya presents an extraordinary exploration of Kundalini energy's mystical ascent through the chakras. This mesmerising performance brings together Dr Goraya and master dancers Samir Panigrahi and Santosh Ram from India's prestigious Rudraksya Foundation, one of the nation's leading Odissi Dance academy.

A fusion of ancient wisdom and contemporary vision, this performance weaves traditional Indian aesthetics with modern storytelling, drawing upon spiritual symbolism and Tantric philosophy. Set to evocative music, each movement becomes a meditation—awakening both our senses and inner spirit through sacred dance.

This evening celebrates the transformative journey of energy awakening and chakra alignment, honouring the divine feminine power that flows through us all. The performance champions cross-cultural artistic exchange and inclusive storytelling that embraces all identities, whilst showcasing the profound beauty of one of India's most revered classical dance forms.

Supporting The Lion Dances Documentary

Your attendance directly supports The Lion Dances, an upcoming documentary chronicling Dr Sam Goraya's remarkable life journey. Directed by Iqbal Barkat and Vijay Gumber, this film promises to capture the intersection of art, spirituality, and personal transformation.

All proceeds from tonight's performance will fund the documentary's production. Additional donations are warmly welcomed and deeply appreciated.

Join us for an unforgettable night of meditative elegance, grace, and sacred storytelling—where ancient tradition meets contemporary soul.
