Kurilpa Cultural Immersion

You're Invited: A First Nations Walking Tour of Kurilpa

Join five organisations working across First Nations Justice, Climate and Environmental spaces (Parents for Climate, Queensland Conservation Council, Arid Lands Environment Centre (NT), Seed Mob and BlackCard) as we come together to experience Kurilpa through a First Nations lens.

Led by BlackCard, this introductory walking tour takes you through Kurilpa's Cultural Precinct, home to one of the largest and most exciting collections of First Nations public art in Australia. Along the way you'll uncover some hidden gems as we make our way to Kurilpa Point, taking in:

• Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA)

• Kuril Dhagun (State Library of Queensland)

• Queensland Art Gallery (QAG)

• Various street and public art sites
  

When: Thursday 10 September, 7:00am - 8:30am

Where: Exact location will be sent directly to you closer to the event - however it will be in the Kurilpa Gallery Precinct

Approx. Agenda:

7:00am - 7:45am Cultural Immersion Walk (Please arrive by 6:55am so we can set off on time)

7:45am - 8:30am Post walk discussion (Stay for a light bite to eat as we hear from all five organisations on the incredible work they're doing

Don't forget to bring:

Water bottle, comfortable shoes and attire, camera and umbrella (just in case!)

Please note that this morning walk and discussion is a short distance (700m / 10min walk) from the Brisbane Convention Centre where the Philanthropy Australia Conference will be held.
